About this speaker

Will Small is a poet, writer and storyteller, who often works at the intersection of creativity and social impact.

He is a 3X Australian Poetry Slam National Finalist, author of Poems for When the World is Ending and founding director of Lead by Story. He’s also a pastor to Meeting Ground, an alternative, grassroots faith community on the Central Coast NSW, and host of the popular Spiritual Misfits podcast.

Will's work is motivated by a fundamental belief that story can change the way we view and live in the world. From creatively directing fundraising campaigns and producing short films, to facilitating in-depth conversations about spirituality, mental health and resilience, to performing his unique blend of thoughtful spoken word poetry across many contexts, Will is a sought after Australian voice, widely known for weaving together philosophical and personal reflections in deeply moving ways.

Will is currently touring This is How We Survive, a full length show weaving live poetry and storytelling with cinematic short films and a powerful mental health message.
