About this speaker
Lindy Jacomb is the founder and team facilitator for the Olive Leaf Network, a fledgling charitable entity that supports former members of high-demand religious groups. With branches in New Zealand and Australia, the OLN provides aid and advocacy for those who are in the process, or aftermath, of disaffiliation from a high-control faith-based group. Through the OLN, Lindy also raises awareness and provides education and training in the areas of cult recovery & spiritual abuse.
She is also a former Baptist pastor and has a deep interest in the ways that spirituality and faith can profoundly impact individuals and society, for better or for worse. A former member of the Exclusive Brethren, Lindy personally knows the joys as well as challenges of integrating from a high-control environment into wider society, and she is passionate about empowering other former members of high-control groups to find their feet, voice and wings.
